FREE ASSISTANCE FROM VOLUNTEER ATTORNEYS IN APPLYING FOR TPS

First–Time Filers for TPS:

  1. Proof of Haitian citizenship (passport, national ID card, birth certificate (with translation), baptismal certificate (with translation))
  2. Proof of having resided continuously in the U.S. since January 12, 2011 (entry documents such as I-94 or stamped passport, immigration receipts, mail, bills, school records, pay stubs, tax filings)
  3. $135 Filing Fee ages 14+ (includes $85 Biometrics fee); $50 Filing Fee ages 0-13
  4. Additional $380 Filing Fee (if seeking work authorization and between ages of 14 and 65)
  5. Two passport-style color photographs per applicant

To Re-Register for TPS:

  1. Approval Notice for previous TPS application
  2. $85 Biometrics Fee (if age 14 or over)
  3. $380 Filing Fee (if seeking work authorization through January 22, 2013 and between ages of 14 and 65)
  4. Two passport-style color photographs per applicant

To Extend employment authorization through January 22, 2013 for Filers with pending TPS applications:

  1. Current employment authorization document
  2. Receipt Notice for pending TPS application
  3. $380 Filing Fee (between ages of 14 and 65)

*** If You Have Already Been Granted TPS You Must Re-Register By August 22, 2011 ***

If you cannot afford the filing and biometrics fees, you may qualify for a fee waiver.
