Position Statement

Given the nature of the practice of law today, it is more important than ever that lawyers organize to encourage relationships that allow us to thrive in a civil and professional fashion. This starts with establishing a framework that fosters a commitment to those relationships early in our careers. The Young Lawyers Section of the Broward County Bar is a vital part of that framework. As a young lawyer, the Young Lawyers Section has helped me build relationships and orient myself by providing volunteer opportunities, professional development training, and mentorship. As a member of the board, I will expand the reach of the opportunities I benefitted from by welcoming new members and increasing participation from current members. To achieve this, I will increase communication with lawyers in our community, build on the strength of our current relationships, and ensure accessibility for everyone seeking to contribute.
