BIO
Josh Lida is a native Floridian having grown up in South Florida before going to UCF and to return for law school at Nova Southeastern University. He has been practicing since 2015 and has been running his own practice since 2017, at first with his father practicing Criminal Defense before expanding the practice into administrative, business, and other areas of law. Since 2020 Josh has been the director of Art and Business Law for Twig, Trade, & Tribunal PLLC a local Fort Lauderdale law firm with 2 other law partners. Josh’s practice focuses heavily on the art world as well as web3 and he regularly educates attorneys and non-attorneys on Non-Fungible Tokens. For example, Josh recently presented at the American Bar Association IP Section Annual Spring Meeting on Interoperability in the Metaverse. Josh has been on the board since last year and loves the community outreach aspect, getting out into the community and meeting people. He has, with Nadine Mathieu, been in charge of the luncheons over the past year and is excited to continue to work on putting on great luncheons for young lawyers in Broward County.
Mission Statement
Josh Lida has been on the board for the past year. It is his belief that the practice of law is consistently changing and it is essential for organizations like YLS to be attuned to the changing tides. He has put this into practice by bringing luncheons on interesting topics to members of YLS. As technology, the practice of law, and even the social norms surrounding lawyers continues to adapt it is Josh’s passion to ensure the young lawyers of Broward County have a vibrant and collegial community while staying ahead of the curve as it comes to the pressing law topics of the day. Josh hopes to continue on this mission and also continue helping YLS assist the community through wonderful events like the annual golf tournament.
