Reno Pierre

Bio:

I am Reno Pierre, an Assistant County Attorney for Broward County, where I primarily handle Real Estate, Real Property, Housing Finance, and civil litigation matters. Prior to joining the County Attorney’s Office, I was previously a criminal prosecutor in Broward County, where I handled misdemeanor and serious felony cases. While in law school I served as a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Judge Robert W. Lee of the 17th Judicial Circuit, as well as a clerk for a prestigious civil litigation firm in Gainesville, Florida. I received my Juris Doctor degree the University of Florida Levin College of Law, and an LL.M. degree in Real Property Development from the Robert Traurig-Greenberg Traurig program at the University of Miami School of Law. I am currently a member of several local voluntary bar and professional associations including T.J. Reddick Bar Association, Broward County Bar Association, and I currently serve on the Board of Governors for the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division representing the 17th Judicial Circuit, and as a Director for the Haitian Lawyers Association.

Position Statement:

Throughout my legal career, I have continuously answered the call to serve. As a former prosecutor, I served the community, and protected the rights of victims and defendants who entered the criminal justice system. As a current Assistant County Attorney, I continue my public service by assisting multiple governmental agencies handle Real Estate and other transactional matters. My commitment to public service also fuels my passion to serve in leadership roles on several local bar organizations, including the Florida Bar Young Lawyers Division and the Haitian Lawyers Association. As an active member of the YLS, I have frequently attended events, luncheons, CLEs, and assisted the organization in its charitable efforts.  I truly believe that my commitment to public service and local bar experience makes me the best candidate for the YLS Board position. If elected, I will continue the strong legacy and bring tremendous value to this great organization.
