Position Statement
Since joining the Florida Bar in 2018, I have learned that the integrity, humility, and civility lawyers practice with their clients is sadly not always reciprocated amongst their legal contemporaries. Fortunately, organizations such as the Broward County Bar Association and Young Lawyers Section (“YLS”) are committed to fostering healthier relationships amongst lawyers while simultaneously giving back to the local community.
Those goals, among others, cannot be achieved without the volunteer and devotion of those in the legal community. Thus, I joined the YLS Board of Directors last year. During that time, we have raised money for charities, donated essentials to children in need, and have hosted numerous social events for practicing attorneys and judges to unwind, network, and discuss their respective work.
As Secretary of YLS, I intend to further these goals by continuing the work my predecessors have started and by creating an environment committed to fostering novel ideas.
Bio
Wade is an attorney with Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith LLP and is a member of the firm’s Business Practice Group and Marketing Committee. Wade works out of the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office and practices primarily in the areas of complex business and commercial litigation and white collar fraud. In his free time, Wade enjoys all-things sports, outdoor recreation, and spending time and traveling with his wife, Alina.
